Message
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we extend our congratulations
to Superintendent, Dr. Fernández, her Senior Staff, and the entire
Jersey City Public Schools community for completing another
successful school year.
The motto for the 2024–2025 school year, “Go For The Gold,” was
more than just a theme—it was a challenge to rise, excel, and
achieve. Without a doubt, together, we met that challenge and
surpassed it.

By fostering strong partnerships with parents, local and state
officials, and community organizations, the district has remained
true to its mission: to inspire and prepare all scholars to achieve their
dreams and ambitions. These achievements are a direct result of the
unwavering dedication of all stakeholders and the power of
collaboration—a source of immense pride for the Board of Trustees.
Most importantly, we recognize and applaud the efforts of every
scholar. Your perseverance and growth are at the heart of this
district's success. We encourage you to stay committed, stay
curious, and continue striving for excellence in the year ahead. To
the graduates of 2025 we wish great success in your future
endeavours and always remember "You Are One Of Us!"
As reflected in this report, and despite political shifts and persistent
underfunding, Jersey City Public Schools made notable progress in
every area of its Strategic Plan Priorities this past year.
We thank Dr. Fernández, district leadership, school principals,
teachers, staff, families, and community members for uniting around
one central goal: the success of the scholars of JCPS.
We look forward to another powerful and inspiring year ahead!
